Local people help clear up in the aftermath of a protest in south-eastern Turkey in which at least one person was killed.<br/> <br />Turkish security forces shot dead an 18-year-old man and wounded ten others when they opened fire on the demonstrators, according to a lawmaker in the Kurdish-dominated region.<br/> <br />The protest in a village in Diyarbakir province was over the construction of a replacement police outpost.<br/> <br />Some of the protesters hurled petrol bombs.<br/> <br />The tents of workers employed on the construction site were set on fire.<br/> <br />The incident appears to be the most violent in the region since the PKK Kurdistan Workers Party and the Turkish state declared a ceasefire in March.<br/> <br />PKK militants started withdrawing to bases in northern Iraq last month as part of the deal.<br/> <br />But there's been little sign of progress this months with public attention focused on weeks of broader and often violent anti-government protests across Turkey.
