Well-wishers and journalists on Saturday (June 29) again gathered outside the Pretoria hospital where South Africa's ailing anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela is being treated.<br/> <br />Mandela's poor health has drawn thousands to visit outside the Pretoria hospital where he is being treated, with a steady accumulation of flowers, cards and gifts at its gates.<br/> <br />The faltering health of the first black president of South Africa, a revered symbol of racial reconciliation, has drawn world attention since the 94-year-old was rushed to hospital with a recurring lung infection nearly three weeks ago.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) UNIDENTIFIED LOCAL RESIDENT, SAYING:<br/> <br />"I think the man is old enough, he is old enough to go, so I don't know why they are still keeping him. If God says yes, let him go. For somebody to be on machines in the hospital for a very long time, I think it's very painful for him."
