The Rough Cut Film Review of Les Miserables! the latest big screen adaptation of the classic musical by Tom Hooper which I had never seen. It's quite literally an all singing and all dancing cast of famous actors. Much like many films these days it's too long, too ponderous BUT there's so terrific performances in there and the direction and cinematography are a class act. Looks great on the big screen and importantly it sounds great. <br /><br />There's a point in this review where I say something like "if they wanted actors they would have got actors" what I meant was if the priority was the singing (rather than the acting) they would have brought in singers who can do a bit of acting.
