Clashes continued into the night across Egypt after a day violence that left at least 24 people dead and hundreds wounded.<br/> <br />Demonstrators for and against recently ousted President Mohamed Mursi faced off in the streets of Alexandria.<br/> <br />Anti-Mursi supporters took cover behind riot police vehicles while exchanging rock and molotov cocktail bombardments with Mursi supporters. At least 12 people were killed in the clashes.<br/> <br />Friday's day of rage saw thousands of pro-Mursi supporters rally for the Presidents reinstatement after the army put him on house arrest earlier in the week.<br/> <br />In Suez, clashes erupted after a pro-Mursi demonstration near the Governorate headquarters.<br/> <br />And in Cairo Friday night, the army is greeted with cheers by anti-Mursi demonstrators.<br/> <br />The army-backed interim government is preparing for new elections, although no timeframe has been declared.
