Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper offered his condolences on Saturday to the families and friends of the victims of the deadly train derailment in Lac-Megantic, Quebec.<br/> <br />The fast-moving, driverless train was hauling tankers of crude oil, which exploded into a huge fireball when the train went of the tracks, destroying dozens of buildings.<br/> <br />A police spokesman said one person had died, and that toll would rise, but he declined to comment on media reports that anywhere between 40 and 80 people were missing.<br/> <br />Harper said an investigation into the incident would be conducted, but for now, he simply wanted to offer his sympathies to the victims.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) CANADIAN PRIME MINISTER, STEPHEN HARPER, SAYING:<br/> <br />"What has happened is shocking and truly devastating.
