Radical Muslim cleric Abu Qatada leaves London early on Sunday.<br/> <br />After an eight year legal battle, he's heading home to Jordan to face trial on terrorism charges.<br/> <br />Once dubbed "Osama bin Laden's right-hand man in Europe", Qatada has been in and out of jail in Britain since 2001.<br/> <br />Later on Sunday he stepped onto Jordanian soil in the capital Amman.<br/> <br />Britain was finally able to extradite Abu Qatada once Jordan approved a treaty that satisfied the concerns of British judges about the use of evidence obtained through torture.<br/> <br />The Jordanian government says he will face a fair trial respecting human rights.
