Medics rush to help an Australian woman covered in blood after she was gored in the chest during the last day of Spain's famous bull running festival.<br/> <br />Spanish officials say the 23-year-old was in very serious condition as of Sunday following surgery.<br/> <br />She suffered several fractured ribs and damage to her right lung.<br/> <br />The festival takes place on the cobbled streets of Pamplona in the country's northeast.<br/> <br />It has run almost every year since 1592 -- runners eventually joined the event in the 1800s.<br/> <br />Fourteen people have died during festivities in the last 100 years.<br/> <br />This year, several people were injured, including an American who had his spleen removed and others who were trampled under fellow runners.
