Chris Brown had his probation revoked on Monday (July 15) by a judge in Los Angeles after the singer was charged in a May hit-and-run traffic accident.<br/> <br />The Grammy-winning singer was released on his own recognizance and will have a hearing on August 16 to determine whether or not he has violated the terms of his probation. A violation could land him in jail.<br/> <br />The 24-year-old R&B singer is on probation for criminal assault after pleading guilty to beating then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. He was sentenced to five years probation, 180 days of community service and domestic violence counseling.<br/> <br />On Monday, the Los Angeles County Attorney's office asked the judge to revoke Brown's probation because of the hit-and-run charges in which he allegedly rear-ended another car. Earlier in the day, Brown's legal team and the alleged victim filed a declaration to have the charges relating to the hit-and-run dismissed.
