Rolling Stone cover of accused Boston bomber draws outrage

Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was featured on the cover of the August issue of Rolling Stone magazine.<br/> <br />The cover sent a wave of angry messages on social media Wednesday but also messages of support.<br/> <br />The magazine released a statement saying the feature article is in keeping with its tradition of covering important political and cultural issues of the day.<br/> <br />It said 19-year old Tsarnaev is the same age as many of its readers, making his story all the more important.<br/> <br />But Boston Mayor Thomas Menino finds the whole thing in bad taste.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) BOSTON MAYOR THOMAS MENINO, SAYING:<br/> <br />"Why heroize this guy? He's just a…he's a terrorist we don't want him on any awards. We don't want him on magazines. We don't want him anywhere."<br/> <br />The 19-year old is charged with plotting the twin bombings at the Boston Marathon in April with his older brother.<br/> <br />He faces the death penalty if convicted.
