Seven works of art including some by Picasso and Monet were stolen from this Netherlands art museum last October.<br/> <br />Now some media reports say a Romanian woman, though to be the mother of one of the suspected thieves, has incinerated them.<br/> <br />The local media reports say she's admitted burning the masterpieces, worth tens of millions of dollars, to destroy the evidence.<br/> <br />The stolen works included Monet's 'Waterloo Bridge, London...<br/> <br />De Haan's Autoportrait...<br/> <br />And Gaugin's Femme devant une fenetre ouverte.<br/> <br />Romanian authorities arrested three men in January on suspicion of stealing the paintings. The Romanain girlfriend of one of them was arrested by Dutch police.<br/> <br />In March a man trying to sell the paintings back to the gallery was arrested in Germany.<br/> <br />It wasn't clear if he was part of the gang or whether he really had access to the stolen works.
