Gameplay: <br /><br />Halo: Spartan Assault is a shooter game where players control their characters from an overhead top-down perspective. <br />Story <br /><br />Halo: Spartan Assault takes place in a futuristic science fiction setting between the events of Halo 3 in 2553 and the events of Halo 4 in 2557, while the whereabouts of Master Chief were unknown. It follows the early Spartan Ops' missions against the Covenant alien species and gives more background to the human-Covenant conflict.
