White River Cottages are restored stone buildings in the valley of Aspros Potamos, Makrigialos, Southeast Crete, Greece, operating since 1991, as Holiday Houses. <br />In the past the houses were used as a shelter by the olive farmers from the village Pefki and became abandoned about 80 years ago. <br /><br />The cottages nestle on the hillside a midst olive groves, carob and pine trees. By stone paths and steps the cottages are connected.
