For the first time in 130 years, Mont St Michel in Northern France has became an island.<br /><br />The tide rose above the thin strip of land connecting it to the mainland, something which has not happened since 1879.<br /><br />Several hundred visitors gathered to watch the phenomenon which lasted about 20 minutes before the waters receded.<br />http://www.euronews.net/
