Yuge Atthavis is a Marathi Devotional Aarti sung in praise of Lord Vitthal, popularly known as Vithoba or Pandurang. Devotees also sing this aarti in a melodious rhythm during the festival of the Elephant Deity, Ganesh Chaturthi. The dark complexioned deity, Lord Vitthal, is considered to be the manifestation of Lord Vishnu or His avatar, Lord Krishna. Devotees worship Vithoba on the first Ekadashi (Eleventh Day) of the two Ekadashis celebrated in the Hindu lunar month. <br />Aarti – A Hindu religious ritual of worship, refers to the songs sung in praise of the deity when lamps are being offered.
