John Abraham is excited about his forthcoming film 'Madras Cafe'. The actor-producer is confident that his role will showcase him like never before. He says that the film will also depict military operations in a different light, with his character being atypical of the quintessential Bollywood hero.
"My character, Major Vikram Singh, is a military officer who is sent to Jaffna on a covert operation. For this, I had to deconstruct myself completely. I had to lose a lot of muscle because these officers look like regular people. When they are in a crowd, they are completely inconspicuous," says John, adding, "Luckily, my director Shoojit Sircar and I are on the same page as far as performances are concerned, so we kept the characterisation subtle."
John adds, "Major Vikram is a family man. He leaves his wife behind to go to war. There he meets Jaya, a journalist played by Nargis Fakhri. What happens to Jaya, what happens to his wife, what happens in Vikram's personal and professional life, form the crux of the story."
Be the first one to catch all the news and exciting happenings in the world of Bollywood.
Join Us on Facebook
http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Bollywood-Show/267307240024991
Follow Us on Twitter
https://twitter.com/#!/DaBollywoodShow
