Greece's new EDT public broadcaster has gone on air, more than two months after the government closed down the previous state channel, ERT.<br /><br />The closure of ERT left 2,700 people out of work.<br /><br />The government said that ERT was too expensive as Greece experiences near economic meltdown.<br /><br />Unions at ERT say they will continue programming via the Internet.<br />http://www.euronews.net/
