The White House says it's on track to deliver a report to the American public that could pave the way to an attack on Syria.<br /> <br />SOUNDBITE: White House Spokesman Josh Earnest saying:<br /> <br />"There is a preponderance of publicly available evidence to support that the Assad regime used chemical weapons --- It is apparent that they used them on the night of August 21st."<br /> <br />White House Spokesman Josh Earnest says an intelligence report supporting this finding is expected sometime this week, and that consultations between the President and congress are underway.<br /> <br />His remarks come as UN teams gathered evidence in the Damascus suburb where the attack is said to have taken place.<br /> <br />Asked what role their (UN) findings might play, Earnest had this to say:<br /> <br />SOUNDBITE: White House Spokesman Josh Earnest saying:<br /> <br />"The entire international community acknowledges that chemical weapons were used.
