Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi launched the 'Ahimsa Messenger' Programme -- an initiative by the Centre to address the violence against women - on Saturday. While addressing the gathering she also explained various women welfare policies and schemes implemented by the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre. Sonia Gandhi underlined that UPA Government is committed to empower the women.
