Kenya has become the first country to opt out of the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court following a parliamentary vote on Thursday.<br /><br />Though the opposition argued against the plan to pull out of the ICC, the ruling coalition had the numbers so the motion sailed through.<br /><br />However. pulling out of the ICC is a long process and it will not affect the cases already at the Hague, including those against President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.<br /><br />Al Jazeera’s Catherine Soi reports from Nairobi, Kenya.
