ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Purity and edge came together on the runway as designer Richard Chai showcased his spring 2014 collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York on Thursday (September 5).<br/> <br />The collection began with bold grenadine breaking through whites on pants, dresses and tops for women, as he shifted to soft blue for his first menswear pieces.<br/> <br />The blue made way for numerous looks for men and woman based in black. Strapless dresses gave the laid back collection a pop of elegance.<br/> <br />Suits for men varied from the traditional to 80's. Double breasted jackets and baggy shorts created for the modern man.<br/> <br />Chai played with color when it came to moto jackets, offering both men and women an array of options and lengths.<br/> <br />And if you didn't have a chance to get your midriff in shape for the crop top trend this season, Chai is giving you another chance.
