ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />Hillary Clinton met with President Obama at the White House on Monday to talk about the ongoing situation involving Syria.<br/> <br />Clinton spoke out for the first time on the issue, during an appearance at a forum on wildlife trafficking.<br/> <br />The former secretary of state commented on Russia's latest proposal that Syria place its stockpile of chemical weapons under international control as a way to avoid U.S. military strikes.<br/> <br />Clinton said "That would be an important step, but this cannot be another excuse for delay or obstruction."<br/> <br />She says she supports the President's ongoing efforts regarding Syria, and she urged Congress to do the same.
