Discussions continue on plan to rid Syrian chemical weapons

Diplomats from the five permanent members of the United Nations- U.S., Russia, Britian, France and China- met in New York Tuesday to discuss a draft resolution on how to rid Syria of it's chemical weapons.<br/> <br />The group left after an hour of dicussions and decided to meet again later Wednesday.<br/> <br />This week and next the United Nations General Assembly will meet - with a political solution to the ongoing civil war in Syria high on the agenda.<br/> <br />A U.N. report released Monday confirmed that chemical weapons had been used on a Damascus suburb- but it didn't say who had used them.<br/> <br />In Russia, foreign ministers from two of the P5 countries spoke to reporters about the report's findings.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Russian) RUSSIAN FOREIGN MINISTER SERGEI LAVROV, SAYING:<br/> <br />"There is no answer as to where the weapon was produced - whether it was on an official factory or it was home-made.
