Shake it and Break it Dutch Swing College 1977 In a TV program from the Netherlands in 1977 called "Music Gallery" modern jazz pianist and TV host Pim Jacobs introduces Peter Schilperoort's Dutch Swing College Band. I have a lot of Dutch people all over the world watching my jazz sites. Therefore I left the short Dutch intoduction in. Pim basically said: This band actually doesn't need an introduction because it is so well known and is considered one of the best in Europe, if not the best. <br />For people who have seen films of this band might be unfamiliar with the trumpet player. Ray Kaart is the brother of Dick Kaart, the trombonist. <br />I believe Ray always wanted te become the trumpet man of this band, but Peter found him not disciplined enough. For several periods Ray was in the band however Ray was a bit of an individual, he would play bebop notes in an ensemble, etc. I personally find him a man with very interesting ideas
