The television industry is getting ready to honour its brightest and best shows at the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.<br/> <br />Among the contenders for the top drama trophy are AMC's Breaking Bad and Mad Men, Showtime's Homeland, Netflix's House of Cards and the PBS British period drama Downton Abbey.<br/> <br />HBO has earned its most nominations for 13 straight years, and will also compete for best drama with fantasy series 'Games of Thrones;<br/> <br />In all HBO collcted 108 nominations, more than twice as many as its closest competitors, CBS and NBC, with 53 each.<br/> <br />Its TV movie Behind the Candelabra, starring Michael Douglas, faces off with FX horror mini-series American Horror Story: Asylum in the miniseries and movie category.<br/> <br />The awards will be handed out in a live broadcast from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sep 22
