Thousands of Romanians have formed a human chain around Parliament to protest against plans by a Canadian firm to set up Europe's biggest open-cast gold mine.<br /><br />Gabriel Resources would use cyanide to extract 314 tonnes of gold and 1,500 tonnes of silver from the Carpathian Mountain region.<br /><br />This is the 14th day of protests in Bucharest against the Rosia Montana project.<br />http://www.euronews.net/
