The trial resumes on Monday (September 23) of Costa Concordia captain Francesco Schettino, accused of manslaughter and abandoning ship.<br/> <br />Schettino, 52, is now the only person left on trial and he is seeking a plea bargain to reduce a possible jail sentence.<br/> <br />Schettino refused to speak to the media camped outside.<br/> <br />Four Costa Concordia crew members and a company official were sentenced to jail in July for their part in the disaster, leaving only Schettino still on trial.<br/> <br />The captain is accused of abandoning ship before all crew and passengers had been rescued. A coastguard's angry phone order to him - "Get back on board, damn it!" - became a catch phrase in Italy after the accident.
