In Sudan there have been protests against rising fuel prices. <br /><br />In the capital, Khartoum, demonstrators set fire to petrol stations and a university building.<br /><br />Police officers armed with guns and batons used tear gas to disperse crowds. <br /><br />Wednesday’s violence came a day after protesters attacked the ruling party's headquarters.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Harriet Martin reports from Khartoum.
