Originally published on August 23, 2013 <br /><br />F-35B (one of F-35 Lightning II) made its first night -time vertical landing of the short takeoff/vertical landing (STOVL) variant in the Atlantic Ocean on the US Navy's multi purpose amphibious assault ship USS Wasp on August 14.
