Originally published on August 8, 2013<br /><br />An Australian teenager is lucky to be alive after falling more than 15m through the ceiling of Melbourne's Block Arcade shopping centre.<br /><br />The 18-year-old and two friends made their way up to the fourth floor of the building at around 3.30 p.m.<br /><br />They were climbing up onto the roof when one of them slipped and fell.<br /><br />He fell 9 metres before smashing through the arcade roof, falling a further 6 metres onto the tiled floor.<br /><br />A spokeswoman for Ambulance Victoria said the man was transferred to the Royal Melbourne hospital in a serious condition where he is being treated for fractures to his wrists, legs and pelvis.<br /><br />The Royal Melbourne hospital confirmed the man's condition had deteriorated and remained in a critical condition.<br /><br />Police are looking into why the men were on the roof in the first place.<br /><br />--------------------------------------------------------<br /><br />TomoNews is your daily source for top animated news.
