A Bellingham, Washington man arrested on August 27 after trying to shoot a baggie of pot affixed to an arrow into the recreation room of a Whatcom County Jail. <br /><br />David Wayne Jordan, 36, reportedly told police he was using the bow and arrow to hunt a squirrel. He could not explain why the marijuana was necessary for the task.<br /><br />A civilian employed by the sheriff's office saw Jordan get out of his red Ford pickup at around 8:40 a.m. with a bow, take take aim and shoot an arrow toward the building's second floor recreation center. His aim was off and the projectile landed on the roof. <br /><br />The individual noted the license plate number of Jordan's vehicle and police found the vehicle some time later with bow inside. Police then obtained a search warrant and visited his home. Jordan was reportedly and refused to let officers inside, so they but forced entry.<br /><br />Jordan was booked into the Whatcom County Jail on for attempted introduction of contraband and for obstructing officers. <br /><br />The 36-year-old is well known to the courts.
