An injured policeman is taken from the scene in a Medevac helicopter, as the U.S. Capitol was locked down briefly Thursday after gunshots were fired outside the building.<br/> <br />The shooting rattled the U.S. capital just three weeks after 12 people were killed in a shooting spree at the U.S. Navy Yard, about 1.5 miles or 2.4 km from the Capitol.<br/> <br />A Female suspect --- who according to a U.S. Official -- originally tried to ram through White House security barricades, was killed by police.<br/> <br />Peter Plocky witnessed the incident.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) CAPITOL HILL SHOOTING WITNESS PETER PLOCKY SAYING:<br/> <br />"I don't know what statue, but it's you know the House side of the Capitol, and it's right before there's a side road that goes up the side and there's a barricade there, it's right there and so the car goes screaming past the fountain, followed by the police cars shortly after the shots were fired.
