The Philippine government says that many of the rebels captured after the recent fighting in the country's south are children.<br /><br />The Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) was involved in a standoff with the military for more than two weeks in Zamboanga.<br /><br />The minors say they were abducted from outlying islands in the southern Philippines by MNLF fighters. However, there are also claims that they were mistreated by security forces.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Jamela Alindogan reports from Zamboanga City.
