Spencer Lodge Cannonball Run. As the Chief writer for Mad4Film, Spencer Lodge looks at Cannonball (Samuel Zachary Guthrie) a fictional Marvel Comics superhero, associated with the X-Men. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artist Bob McLeod, Spencer Lodge confirms Cannonball first appeared in the Marvel Graphic Novel 4, The New Mutants (1982). Cannonball is the eldest of a large coal mining family from Kentucky who uses his ability to fly at incredible jet speeds whilst encased in an impenetrable force field. What could be cooler?
