ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Hundreds of immigrants crowded on to the National Mall on Tuesday in a rally to support immigration reform legislation introduced on Capitol Hill.<br/> <br />The rally coincided with the introduction of legislation that supporters hope could chart a path to citizenship for 11 million illegal residents.<br/> <br />Politicians, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, spoke to audience members who waved American flags and held up signs reading "Citizenship for 11 million."<br/> <br />"Si, se puede," Pelosi chanted from the stage.<br/> <br />Applause erupted from the crowd as the popular Mexican group "Los Tigres del Norte" began their performance.<br/> <br />The "Camino Americano: March for Immigration Reform" was allowed to proceed despite a government shutdown that has closed national parks across the country.<br/> <br />Veterans who entered the World War II Memorial last week also received permission to access the site from the National Park Service.
