Originally published on July 26, 2013<br /><br />A Mexican couple was arrested on Thursday at Bogota international airport after allegedly trying to smuggle more than 3 kilograms of heroin out of Colombia.<br /><br />According to local reports, Daniela Trinidad, Jose Moreno and their 20-month-old daughter were at El Dorado airport with two suitcases containing 3.345 kilograms of heroin.<br /><br />Trinidad's suitcase contained 2.345 kilograms while the husband's luggage carried 1 <br />kg.<br /><br />After the X-ray scanner detected something irregular in their luggage, the couple was spotted by drug enforcement agents and detained for a luggage inspection, during which the drug was found.<br /><br />According to reports, the couple was arrested while the baby was turned over to the Colombian Family Welfare Institute.<br /><br /><br />--------------------------------------------------------<br />TomoNews is your daily source for top animated news.
