One casualty of the U.S. government shutdown has been revived- sort of.<br/> <br />Three of the most iconic national parks in the U.S. will be reopened in the coming days after deals were reached between state and federal officials.<br/> <br />Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, the Statue of Liberty in New York, and Arizona's Grand Canyon will all reopen between Saturday and Monday.<br/> <br />Governors in those states are paying a hefty price to the National Park Service for the chance to reopen -South Dakota will pay more than 15 thousand per day.<br/> <br />New York will pay more than 61 thousand per day. And in Arizona, the Grand Canyon will reopen for seven days at a cost of 93 thousand dollars per day.<br/> <br />Officials estimate the national parks have lost about $750 million dollars in visitor spending since the shutdown began.<br/> <br />Of the country's 401 National Park Service, only these three will open.
