The number of people killed in a stampede on this bridge in central India has risen to at least 115.<br/> <br />Sunday's lethal crush happened as Hindu pilgrims crossing the bridge to a remote temple panicked when railings began to break up.<br/> <br />More than 100 others have been injured in the crush outside the town of Datia in Madhya Pradesh.<br/> <br />A day after the stampede more pilgrims were making their way across the same bridge, still littered with the belongings of the victims.<br/> <br />It was the second deadly crush at the spot in seven years.<br/> <br />Police are investigating the cause.<br/> <br />But stampedes at religious sites in India are far from rare.<br/> <br />A crush at the world's largest religious festival in February killed 36 Hindu pilgrims.
