The seventh installment in the series, and the first in high-definition, it follows 2010′s Donkey Kong Country Returns, also by Retro Studios and was announced during Nintendo’s pre-E3 2013 conference on June 11, 2013. Originally slated to be released in November 2013, it was delayed until December 6, then again until February 2014.
