Weapons inspectors have hailed significant progress towards removing Syria's chemical arsenal.<br /><br />They have now visited half of Syria's known chemical weapons sites, where they are making the facilities inoperable, smashing control panels and destroying empty munitions.<br /><br />But they are struggling to reach rebel-controlled areas.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Omar al-Saleh reports.
