ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION).<br/> <br />STORY: A man accused of murdering his fiancé, Canada-born Lisa Harnum in 2011, appeared in court in Australia's Sydney on Monday (October 21).<br/> <br />Simon Gittany allegedly threw the 30-year-old former ballerina off the balcony at their high-rise apartment in Sydney's central business district, local media said.<br/> <br />The prosecutor said in his opening address to the jury the alleged murder took place after months of increasingly controlling and abusive behaviour by Gittany, local media added.<br/> <br />Gittany's counsel said the couple's relationship was dysfunctional but that it was also characterised by 'affection and love', local media said.<br/> <br />Gittany was seen arriving and leaving the court with his current girlfriend.
