Rough Cut Film Review Hellraiser Halloween Special

2013-10-24 1 Dailymotion

As it's Halloween I thought it was about time there was a special - so here's a quick look at the Hellraiser Series. I maintain that the first film is a decent, if unspectacular horror film, the second one is good, bloody pantomime fun but then it all slides downhill very quickly.

Tagline - He'll tear your soul apart

IMDB Plot Summary (for the first film) -

Clive Barker's feature directing debut graphically depicts the tale of a man and wife who move into an old house and discover a hideous creature - the man's half-brother, who is also the woman's former lover - hiding upstairs. Having lost his earthly body to a trio of S&M demons, the Cenobites, he is brought back into existence by a drop of blood on the floor. He soon forces his former mistress to bring him his necessary human sacrifices to complete his body... but the Cenobites won't be happy about this.

Wikipedia Summary -

Film Director Writer(s) Producer(s)
Hellraiser (1987) Clive Barker Christopher Figg
Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988) Tony Randel Peter Atkins
Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992) Anthony Hickox Christopher Figg & Lawrence Mortorff
Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996) Kevin Yagher / Alan Smithee Nancy Rae Stone
Hellraiser: Inferno (2000) Scott Derrickson Paul Harris Boardman & Scott Derrickson W.K.
