Two Thai police officers were killed when a drunk driver collided with their motorcycle in Nakhon Phanom province on Monday night.<br /><br />The accident occurred on Liang Muang Road when a bronze Honda Civic struck Sgt Maj Prasert Linyoo, 44, and Sgt Maj Kajornsak Kamchana, 34, knocking them from their motorcycle. Attending officers found both men dead. <br /><br />Twenty-nine year old Choladet Sriharat told police he was driving at the time of the accident. Choladet was breath-tested and found to be significantly over the blood alcohol limit and was arrested. He was later charged with drunk driving and reckless driving causing death.<br /><br />According to the World Health Organization, 26,000 people die on Thailand's roads annually.
