Wait till You See my Cherie Barrett Dan 1993 <br /><br />In a concert honouring the music of Bix Beiderbecke during the 1993 Bern Jazz Festival trombonist Dan Barrett is featured on a tune called "Wait till You See my Cherie". This tune was originally recorded by the Frankie Trumbauer Orchestra in 1929. <br />Just this morning I had an email conversation with Dan mentioning this broadcast from Bern. He had never seen it and I think I made his day when I promised I would send him the DVD copy of these performances of the New York All Stars. A Dutch friend had taped this part of the concert from a German/Swiss broadcast and he sent me a video copy some 10 years ago. I had seen part of it but some is new to me as well. Better here on dailycom now than hidden on one of my shelves, without mediacom probably forever
