Madrid, 3 Jan (EFE).- Spain's new anti-smoking law, which prohibits smoking in all public spaces including bars, restaurants and nightclubs as well as open-air areas such as children's playgrounds and outside hospitals, came into effect on Sunday. <br /><br /> <br /><br />The new legislation puts Spain at the head of the European Union with other member states with respect to smoking regulations. <br /><br /> <br /><br />Many establishment owners are concerned the ban will negatively affect their businesses.
