Virginia Tech’s defense held Duke to 0 of 11 on third down. <br /> <br />Boston College drops to 3-4 after a 34-10 road defeat last week to the North Carolina Tar Heels as a +5 ½ point underdog. The game ended under 58 points. The Eagles could not overcome a 20-7 first half deficit. <br /> <br />BC posted 261 yards of offense with 202 rushing for over 5 yards a carry. Chase Rettig completed 10 of 20 passes for just 57 yards. The Eagles struggled on third down converting 5 of 16 tries. On defense the team allowed the Tar Heels 392 yards with 282 yards passing and three touchdown passes allowed to the North Carolina quarterbacks.
