The 2013 Breeders Cup from horse racing will take place on Friday November 1st and Saturday November 2nd from San Anita Park with 12 big championship races scheduled. <br /> <br />The action on Friday and Saturday will be televised by the NBC Sports Network with the Breeders Cup Classic to be aired on the major NBC station. <br /> <br />The weather for Friday and Saturday calls for clear sunny skies and a fast dirt surface at the Great Race Place. There will be five Breeders Cup races scheduled to go on Friday and seven on Saturday at Santa Anita. <br /> <br />The featured race on Friday will be the $2 million dollar Ladies Distaff which is the former Ladies Classic. Three 1 million dollar races are also on tap featuring two year old colts and filly turf races as well as the popular Dirt Mile. <br /> <br />On Saturday the horse racing is stacked with outstanding betting races featuring full fields. Scheduled are the sprint, turf and popular two year old juvenile races that give us a peak at next year’s crop of Triple Crown contenders. <br /> <br />The Breeders Cup Classic is the main event on Saturday scheduled for a post time of 8:35PM Eastern Time on NBC TV. The Classic is run at a 1 ¼ mile on the Santa Anita dirt surface. The current favorite in the Classic is the number nine horse Game on Dude who opened up at odds of 8/5. This is a horse for course angle as Game on Dude has won seven of his eight races at Santa Anita. Mike Smith rides and Bob Baffert trains. <br /> <br />The 2012 Breeders Cup Classic winner the number seven horse Fort Larned is listed a 6/1 on the board. The second place finished from last year’s Classic Mucho Macho Man is the number six horse and listed at 5/1 in the wagering. Mucho Macho Man is coming off an impressive win at Santa Anita in his prep race on September 28th with Gary Stevens aboard.
