A sixth French soldier has died in fighting against Islamist rebels in Mali, the French government said Monday. <br /><br />The attack occurred in the north between Zaouaten and Boughessa near the West African country's border with Algeria.<br /><br />Stéphane Duval was riding in a light vehicle when a roadside bomb exploded.<br /><br />The 32-year old special forces soldier was participating in search operations aimed at rooting out extremist groups.<br /><br />The blast seriously injured two other soldiers.
