Dozens of supporters of deposed Egyptian president Mohamed Mursi gathered in front of the police academy in Cairo for the start of his trial.<br/> <br />Mursi, a member of the Mulim Brotherhood, was ousted in July of this year by the Egyptian army after massive street protests called for his removal.<br/> <br />He, along with 14 other defendants, are facing charges of inciting violence.<br/> <br />This is the second time in just over two years that a former president has been in court in Egypt.<br/> <br />Former leader Hosni Mubarak is also on trial after being toppled in 2011.<br/> <br />But lawyers for Mursi say his case is much different from Mubarak.<br/> <br />The difference is that Mubarak stepped down from power while Mursi is still the legitimate leader, one lawyer said.<br/> <br />Both defendants could face life in jail or the death penalty if found guilty.
