Residents in the Philippines are just starting to assess the damage from a massive typhoon that tore through the country Friday.<br/> <br />Homes and structures have been reduced to match stick like timbers after Typhoon Haiyan, an enormous Category 5 storm, ripped through central parts of the country.<br/> <br />At least 100 people have been reported dead, but that number is expected to rise once communications have been restored in remote locations.<br/> <br />Meanwhile, people in parts of Vietnam are preparing for Haiyan's arrival later this weekend.<br/> <br />Residents were busy filling sandbags and securing their roofs.<br/> <br />Although the storm has been downgraded to a Category 4, it's expected to regain strength over the South China Sea on its course to hit Vietnam early Sunday.
