Lady Gaga hopes to perform among the stars - literally.<br/> <br />Besides being the first woman to don a flying dress, the pop phenomenon has announced her intention to become the first artist to perform in outer space.<br/> <br />Us Weekly reported last week that a source told the celebrity magazine that Gaga will join a Virgin Galactic mission that is set to launch in early 2015.<br/> <br />During the release party of her new album "ARTPOP", the 27-year-old singer confirmed this, Vanity Fair magazine says.<br/> <br />Currently seats on a Virgin Galactic flight are priced at $250,000 (USD).<br/> <br />Vanity Fair reports that Gaga was gifted the ticket.<br/> <br />But in her race for the stars Gaga might face competition from British diva Sarah Brightman, who announced that she bought her seat on a Russian spaceship bound for the International Space Station in October, 2015.
